What is phpBB?

phpBB is the perfect web app for everybody who wishes to promptly set up an Internet forum, both as a supplement to their existing web site or as a completely different site.

With phpBB, you’ll get a simplified interface, which can be easily used by both members and moderators/admins. Another advantage of phpBB is familiarity – the majority of message boards are based on phpBB and most users are already accustomed to it. As soon as they notice a phpBB–driven web site, they’ll immediately identify it as being a forum and will already know how to work with it.
