Managing your own hosting machine may not be a breeze and in some situations it could be very annoying, specially if you don't have a lot of experience and you are not confident what to do in certain cases. The server has its own Os and processes running on it, which means that you might have to deal with matters that you have not experienced with a standard shared hosting package where the service provider takes care of the hosting machine maintenance while you handle only your web content by using a hosting Cp. If some service stops responding, for instance, or some process start overloading the hosting server, you shall have to take measures to restore the correct operation of the hosting server. If you haven't dealt with this sort of situations in the past, you could use the Monitoring & Rebooting feature, which is a part of our optional Managed Services upgrade pack.
Monitoring and Rebooting in VPS Servers
If you decide to host your internet sites or offline apps on one of the Linux VPS servers which we provide, you can add the Managed Services upgrade whenever you want and from that minute on our admins will monitor your entire system carefully. Automated checks for a number of processes shall be enabled and our skilled team will be notified the moment some unforeseen predicament appears - a script that is not responding, a frozen process, an app that requires excessive physical memory or CPU processing time, etc. Our administrators shall determine what caused the problem and will resolve it or will reboot the server if needed so that it can continue its proper operation. The Monitoring & Rebooting part of the Managed Services package will save you cash and time since you shall not have to pay to a third-party business to monitor your hosting machine remotely, not mentioning that they can't access your server to do anything in the event that a problem appears.
Monitoring and Rebooting in Dedicated Servers
Adding the Managed Services package to your dedicated server service is as simple as clicking a button on the order page or inside your billing Control Panel and given that the service is enabled, our system admins will keep an eye on all system processes on your hosting server 24/7 as to ensure that everything is working exactly how it should. An automated system shall inform them as soon an issue presents itself, so they can troubleshoot it to discover what induced it and will then handle it immediately. Frozen processes, software elements that have shut down or apps that employ far too much physical memory are merely a few examples of the things our seasoned staff will look for and take care of. A third-party monitoring company can only inform you that there is some problem with a certain system service, but they'll lack the means to do anything about it since they won't be able to access your server.
